Hellloo HOwww arrREE YoouuuUU???
First off I must agree with what you said about just dancing in the rain.. i felt some trials but I need to gain a testimony that the Lord really does want us to be happy. we should not be fearful of Him but just know that things are going to work out and be for our best benefit!
Bubbs looks great, send me a picture with him like right now with those glasses! i wanna see them with him normally haha Caden is FILTHY. I LOVE it hahahahah I was laughing sooo hard and was like "Thatss myyy boyyy!!!" soo gross haha. Cars is still the HOT BEYER for sure!!

This week has been quite the week haha, its weeks like this that make me think back and reflect on really the blessings that I have seen in my life due to the Savior. We had the opportunity of instructing this week with everything and it was wonderful because we were trying to figure out ways to "bring desire to the missionaries" and I mean... we thought about it and thought about it and thought about it... and then it just came down to it and we just came up with the idea that there is nothing that came bring more excitement than an understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We just really had the missionaries think and think about what the Atonement was and really meant to them, and why it would be important in the missionary endeavors. There is a quote by President Howard W Hunter in Preach My Gospel that says:
"What does the Atonement have to do with missionary work? Any time we experience the blessings of the Atonement in our lives, we cannot help but have a concern for the welfare of others... A great indicator of ones personal conversion is the desire t share the gospel with others."
We truly tried to think in depth and we challenged the missionaries to ponder about what we believe the Atonement to be... and then to decide for themselves how much it meant to them. it was quite powerful, i challenge you to do the same.. Think about the blessings that you have seen from the Atonement and why it is important to you... and think about how much it means to you... and I promise you will be able to see the most happiness that you have ever seen in your life.
President Scott told me once, "You know Elder Beyer, I talk to many missionaries... and many of them talk about how they have been studying the Atonement and how its great for them. I believe you need to study it to understand it for sure, but when it really comes down to it, the only way to understand the Atonement completely is by living it and living the gospel. Through action we completely come to understand what it is to us, and how it is applicable to others as well."
I truly believe that with all of my heart. The opportunities of growth come from experience, Joseph Smith once said "there is no substitute for experience", i support that 100%. It is one thing to learn to pray and another thing to actually do it and receive an answer, its one thing to have it for yourself and another to hear someone actually say "God, we thank thee for sending us the Mormons here to help us change our ways." It has been a great testimony in itself to truly feel the ENABLING power of the Atonement as well as its REDEEMING. I know its real, and was needed for God is Just and Merciful, in the sense that if we are capable of repenting there always needs to be a punishment to help us even more. I love the Savior for what He has done for each one of us.
Elder Thompson and I are having a blast, its SO fun haha we just shred up concerns and problems right at the face of it. When people bring anti we just rip it to pieces haha its been sooooo funny! I love it, hes been one of the coolest comps ever. We took some sweet pics the other day, just wait for them! :)
Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. I would love to do it.
Forever and Always,

Elder B Beyer.

Monday, July 22, 2013 "Barrie Good"

HEY FAMILY!!!
ALRIGHT... the humidity here is DISGUSTING hahah.. like I cant stand it at all hahah! its SOOOO bad!!!! To the point where you NEVER ever EVER feel like you are clean or not sweating ha ha I feel like every moment of the day I'm just drenched in some nastiness... but other than that Barrie is "Barrie GOOD" hahaha ;);) (that's the little Spanish motto I brought out here ha ha everyone uses it now ha ha!!!)
The Cabin and everything seems like it went really well and seems like it was a good time! I'm so glad to hear and see that! Ha ha you guys all look really good ha ha! I loved seeing all of you and everything else ha ha!
I am doing "follow-ups".  A normal thing for a Zone Leader.
Funny information my companion and I are like twins... fraternal twins that is ha ha... We are different looking but like our past lives are identical hahah! He has 4 boys, I do too... He calls his mom Tar Bear, mine Kar Bear... His mom sings love at home, you sing love at home (that's when the boys fight hahaha) its honestly sooo funny! we just laugh at random stuff like that ALL the time. We just feed off the vibes and energy hard core!
This week was pretty intense haha first off... um there was a tornado haha! It like was going to hit Barrie haha! So we had to just go inside for a minute and what not until the rain stopped but then went back out haha there was like a for sure crazy thing Ha. There were like floods and stuff haha it was so funny tracting for a while in there haha! The people thought we were completely NUTS haha!!
Coolest experience of the week.. So we have been just looking right and left to be finding a family. That is like the missionary DREAM!!! To find a family. So we were looking and one day we found this lady ( like 2 weeks ago ) and her and her family were going to be moving soon. What we didn't know at the time was they were praying to be able to find a way to move.. well as missionaries we were like "HEY CAN WE HELP??" ha ha and shes like "no that's fine.. but stop by later..." well 2 weeks later we stop on by again... this time they have loaded everything in and we met her husband! We asked "HEY CAN WE HELP YOU MOVE??" and he was VERY sarcastic with us and acted like he didn't need our help. He was like "oh yeah in your shirts and ties! lets rip um off and load this S o B!" haha... and we were like... "K man. Tomorrow work?" and he was like "No guys I was kidding.. yadda yadda yaddaa" but we insisted. We were like, NOPE. we are coming back and helping... Well turns out that He also had been praying to find help to be able to move.. and they really really were desperate but didn't want to ask for it. Well the next day, they were SHOCKED that we ended up coming! Well we whipped it all out in hours haha not that long, they thought it would take like... 4 maybe 5 and we unloaded the majority in like 2 haha. I felt like I was back in football conditioning haha! I missed it so much!!!!! you have no idea haha! But it was good. You could definitely see a change in the family, especially with just listening and feeling the Spirit! We had a lesson with them the other day... and we taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and how doing the simple things are just how we can come to know the truth. We taught the mother  how to pray by using a pray card and it was just the simple stuff "dear Heavenly Father, thank you for..., we ask thee for..., in the name of Jesus Christ Amen." It was probably 30 seconds long... and after she said it... The Spirit bore POWERFUL witness of the power of Prayer. She just sat there and the Spirit just worked on her... it was incredible. My testimony grew immediately and I knew that the Lord was with us, right there and just was hugging her. I know that prayers can be answered. My companion gave a talk on it the other day... without prayer and scriptures, Joseph Smith wouldn't have come to know the truth, they are the foundation of our testimonies and our witnesses of the Savior.
I know that the Church is true. I know that prayers can be answered... I challenge and invite every single one of you to pray and ask God for guidance and I promise He will give it to you.
Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you! I love you

Monday, July 15, 2013 "Just keep smiling!"

Those were some of the greatest pictures I have ever seen in all of my life ha ha! I laughed WAY hard when I saw Caden's after picture!! YIKESS!!! But the boys are all looking SOOO good!!! For reals... haha HUGE too!!! I cant even believe it. Its a stinkin Joke, that's for sure! The only bad thing about one of those pictures is that the Canadian flag is almost all the way colored in ha ha... BAD JOKE for sure!!! Yikes... Time is just creeping by SOO fast.. almost too fast if you ask me!
This week was a pretty chill one for sure! I really enjoyed it! My companion and I are getting along SOOO well haha! He is a stud and a half! For reals.. I think he is going to be an Assistant to the President one of the these days! He just works like a horse. We are loving it so much! CRYIN REPENTANCE JUST CRYIN REPENTANCE hahah!
This week we were able to help xxxxx (the man who was baptized like 2 weeks) be confirmed! It was pretty gnarly! I loved loved loved it! I was actually able to confirm him, and it was a very neat experience for sure! I felt the Spirit very strongly and it helped me truly understand the power of the priesthood!
I'm not going to lie, the heat and humidity here are awful haha! Its SO blasted hard to be positive when you are drenched in sweat and dehydrated! Its pretty intense sometimes haha! But its still going really well.

I gained one of the strongest testimonies of member missionary work this past week here in Barrie. There is this family here and they have a daughter who lives in Utah with her family... But she came back up here to visit this last week. We were going to pass by some of the members and we passed by them! It was pretty intense when she was like "Ive been thinking about some of the people I knew back when I lived here, and I really wanted you to pass by them. I don't remember their addresses but we'll go around and get them." So us her, and her dad went and drove around and found over 20 houses to pass by... Now... That NEVER happens... NEVER EVER. Maybe like one or two... but twenty???!! Honestly, It helped me understand that when people understand the importance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they are more willing to share that message with those who don't have it.

I have gained quite the testimony over the course of my mission on WHAT the Atonement is, HOW it effects us, and WHY it is important. Honestly, all of us are capable of receiving the Atonement, we all just need to go find it first. One of the most incredible things about the Atonement, is the more we understand it, the greater our witness of the Savior grows. The more that witness grows the more we want to, and actually desire to share it with those around us. There are so many people who pass life with struggles that could so easily be surpassed if they just found the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Atonement which it is centered on. I love the gospel, and the joy it brings to people. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't talk to me in specifics about how much time I have left... ha ha I need to focus and finish strong. I love you all so much, just keep smiling!

Forever and Always,

Monday, July 8, 2013 "I am SO Good"

HEY THERE!!!
Sounds like you all are just having SUCH a good time!! Ha ha I was SUPER excited to see that all from you and those pictures were intense ha ha! Caden Looks FILTHYY!!! I LOVE IT!!! haha everyone in the district was like "MAN, he looks like you with long hair!!!" haha I laughed so hard! Caden, keep it up man! I will grow it out with you eventually buddy ;) Don't worry!
Man things here are SO awesome! SOOO GOODD!!! My comp is from Sandy UT! Went to Hillcrest haha! But he is super dope! Him and I get along sooo well! Its been SUPER fun! We are really excited for this month and everything in it... its going to be incredible!
Man, we had Mission Leadership Council the other day... Guess what.... Elder Prince only has ONE transfer left... can you believe that?? T

his is his last one... haha it was so sad.... I'll for sure see him once more, but still! TIME FLIES!
The Coolest thing about last month was the unity of the mission! We had the goal of baptizing 60 people in the month of June. It has NEVER been done in the mission before! and we worked SUPER hard and we exceeded the goal by 18! it was super super great! 78 baptisms in one month! Man, it was super great! The best part of it all was that our zone had to just baptize 6 and hasn't really averaged that out in a LONG time... we got 9!!!! Man!!! It was SUPER great!!! Its been one of the greatest things, just to feel the Spirit so strongly as we work and as we are more unified with what we are doing!
I love the work right now... HONESTLY SOOO MUCCHHH!!!! The coolest thing is just what we have been trying to change here in the area and in the zone! We are really focusing on TEACHING when you find and not just trying to get return appointments and then come back. The biggest focus is just TEACHING TEACHING AND TEACHING!!! its been sooo great, we teach like 100 lessons a day now haha, do they all count.. No but still its so much better than trying to be manipulative and try and get their phone number.. just teach, testify, get the spirit there and go to town!!! haha I LOVE It!
I just love the Spirit and being able to feel it more frequently in my life. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it truly can change someone if they try to apply it. One great lesson that I have learned in life is that the Lord doesn't care about the past, as long as we are moving forward... Its the truth... He just wants us to be able to be happy and to overcome the crap in life that all of us have to face every once in a while. But above all, He is going to be there for us no matter what. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is stronger than it has ever been in my life. I cant express the way I feel, its just true happiness.. its not temporary. its reality.
I hope you all strive to be better and find ways to do so through setting goals and making plans.. it WORKS. I love you all. Forever and Always,

Thursday, July 4, 2013 "Doing super good!"

HEYYY HEEYYY HEYYYY!!!!!
How are you all doing?? I hope that you are all doing supperr good!!! Things here have been getting sooo much better too!!
So everything has changed up a little bit here! I have a new companion and I am staying in Barrie!!!! His names E Thompson and he's also from the great state of Utah haha! Its going to be a really fun transfer, he seems like a really cool dude. I'm stoked.
This past week was a great one! It was a really tough one as well though! So what happened was we had 3 people being planned on being baptized that week, and it was SUPER great until about Thursday... and one of them just stopped talking to us. Then Friday another one said that they didn't want to be baptized! So we had faith in one of them... and we set up the baptismal interview and were stoked! Turned out that she actually didn't get baptized... but that her husband who stopped talking to us did ha ha! Can you believe that?? It all turned out really different than we would have expected but it all turned out perfectly how the Lord wanted it to.
The man who was baptized is named xxxx. He is really one of the greatest people I have ever met! He has had one of the hardest lives EVER and its really taken a toll on him and how he has lived.. it really has. the other elders have been teaching him for probably like 4 or 5 months now and he is finally gotten baptized! It was a cool moment going into the room after and having him express the feelings that he was feeling! He just kept on saying how clean he felt. The best thing that he said was "I know that there is still a bunch more crap that will come into my life, but like I'm not worried.. I just feel good" It was a wonderful experience!
This week was a crazy one as well, we actually have gone to Brampton twice in the past 2 days! One for transfers, where we were helping out with the transfers of all the other missionaries and then the other time for a Mission Leadership Council.. It was really great to be able to see like Elder Prince and stuff and some of my other great friends that I have made on the mission! Its so weird... My first Zone Leaders in the field actually became Assistants together and stuff, and now they are both dying!! ha ha its NUTS to think about how time goes by that quickly and how quickly it comes to an end... I cant believe it half the time, I really cant!
One of the biggest things that I have been learning in life right now is LOVE... the greatest thing in the world. Its SOO stinkin hard sometimes to just use it and apply it.. but at the same time its just one of the greatest things in all the world! The Lord loves us so much and if we just keep focused on Him and just do the things that He commands we will access that love more fully! I know that! Live well and Love life. its SOOO worth it :) Sorry I'm getting kicked off ha ha... the family history people are getting mad!

Monday, June 24, 2013 "Zone Conference"

Heyyyy THERREEEE!!!!

First off, thank you for the packages! They were quite INCREDIBLE haha I love the shirts, too bad its a million degrees so I don't need them right now, but when I do they will be great :) haha also thanks for the butt load of candy haha it was SOOO stinkin good! I have almost eaten it all... I maybe shouldn't be sent anymore candy.. I just eat it in like one day and get sick from it... hahah.. but its allll goooddd :))

This last week we had a Zone Conference with like 3 other zones haha and guess who I saw there... THE ONE AND ONLY ELDER STEELE hahahah! It was sooo funny to see him again and just laugh and talk with him! He is looking really good and seems to be really happy, I did some role plays with him and his companions in Spanish :) It was super great to speak some Spanish with everyone there!!!!! GREATTTT STUFF!!!!

I think that the greatest things that I have been learning in my life is the ability to just rely on the Lord whenever a trial comes into our lives. Its a really really weird thing to think that the Lord honestly just gives us trials to make us stronger ha ha.. in some senses it makes absolutely no sense but in others it really does... For example if some one is trying to get bigger in the muscle category one must work out right?? So the thing is they have to go through some resistance before they are able to grow. Its the same thing with our lives and especially the spiritual side of things.. We need to be able to endure some hard trials in order to be able to grow. If we do that and if we are capable of enduring, we will be able to grow SO much! Its one of the most incredible feelings to know that the Lord is there to help us out when we are in need if we work hard for it!

This past week has been a week FULL of doors slammed on our faces, and also people telling us off, but ill tell you this much, I know that you have to take a few of those before you can have some incredible weeks and finding the most prepared people ever! I love how the Lord works with us.

We are hopefully going to see some baptisms this week! We are looking forward to possibly 2 or 3! its going to be sweet if all works out how we had planned for it! so we will see how it goes :)

Well I love you all, I hope that all is well and that we all are able to help out with whatever it may be to become better and help others to be the same way!

Forever and Always,

Monday, June 17, 2013 "Happy Father's Day"

HEYYYYYY!!!!
HAPPYYY FATTTHHHERRRRSSSSS DAYYYYYYYY!!! Man I hope that you all passed that holiday well hahah it was funny this guy in church was talking about it and what fathers day really is, and he was like "Fathers day is just a second mothers day. We still do all the fun stuff though like BBQ and chill." haha I thought it was pretty funny! I laughed way hard when I heard that! But its been really good!

This last week, was one of the neatest experiences of the mission for sure! We have been working with these 2 investigators, long before I got here as well, and they were living common law. Which is when you are "married" if you have been living for 6 months together... but they had been doing it for like 12 years. and they had 3 kids and what not. So they have been just going through life and the other elders before us, invited them to be married and also to be baptized and we have just helping them out as much as possible. So this week was their scheduled wedding date and everything really just fell into place!!!!!!!! and we were able to see that and help out with it a little bit, my companion was fortunate enough to sing Amazing Grace and it was just such a good reception! So the pictures that I sent were of them and us, and it was just at the church and was performed by the bishop! But still really cool. ha ha I have never had that happen to me on my mission, and it was a really special moment for sure!

WAY crazy thing happened as well haha! So what went down was we were tracting and were trying to find some new people... and we went and found this family with 4 boys! We were like score!! haha but little did they know they were going to bash us... so it goes from bad to worse and at the end we were like YIKEESSS... and then we just kept going on with it. So at the very end we thought that we were going to be done with that stuff... but then they said that we could come over and help them paint... so we were like OK! We went and it honestly was just her and her husband trying to convert us haha... yeah... it was pretty nuts because they were trying to tell us that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost were ONE... OK... so the doctrine of the trinity... and lets just say my testimony was increased on Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel because the doctrine that we have is the one in the New Testament and not just some made up one from a council of people in the year 325 ad... haha but it was really neat because after I went and studied it, and I also have studied what it means to "be saved" and honestly our church and doctrine actually coincide with the Bible and its teachings! I love the truth that we have and the honesty that comes from it all.

Well, time is cruisin on by and I don't know what to even think about it right now haha... its just going by SOOO fast and I know that I need to take it all for granted. I love the church. Its so true its not even funny! I loved those pics that you sent :) haha I hope that I can get my shirt back from caden, that I can grow a beard like troy and never ever have to look like Blair ;) hahaha! I love you all. Forever and Always,
