Monday, May 27, 2013 "Barrie is Great"

MOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!
WELL.... I'm gone and out of the city ha ha but I'm not going to lie its GREAT out here ha ha! The first little bit was just adjustment for sure, and I was really kinda lame about it... but I repented and ALL is WELL :) :) I honestly love it here ha ha its sooooo different! I'm coming from downtown Toronto where it is HUGE and there are MILLIONS of people to little tiny old Barrie where there aren't haha and also if you look at it we cover smaller towns of like 100s of people that's it ha ha! and coming from straight Contacting to straight tracting ha ha!  its INTENSE haha!
The ward here is pretty great too! They are all soooo nice! We ate at this older Lady's house the other day and it was incredible ha ha! I haven't eaten white people food in SOO long haha! but its been really great! I love it so much!
The other day we were able to figure out that we have like 8 investigators and like half of them are Spanish ha ha I LOVE it! and I have been able to go and speak with them just be able to have some good old quality speaking with them! I was fortunate enough to take part of a blessing to one of them and got to do it in Spanish! Really really great experience as well! I love it! I miss Spanish but at the same time teaching in English is GREAT! Its seriously one of the funniest things ever, its pretty challenging though ha ha Ive never taught in English so I'm hoping that the Lord will qualify me for this ha ha!
That story about Bryton was really really great! I enjoyed it for sure. Let him know that I know he will have a hard time, but he will still be happy! and everything will be OK! Happiness always comes after despair! That's the truth!
Well... Elder Rogers has been out like 3 transfers more than me, we eat quite a bit here ha ha and my favorite... I dunnoo... I love cookies... love caramel and normal popcorn... I miss donuts like no ones business like those ones that come in the bag... with the white bendy things to be able to open and close it? If that makes sense ha ha like the little chocolate ones! Those I crave daily.. man... I miss tons of food! I'm always tired and hungry hahah! but its great! Size for the shirt is 17.
Well... things are great here! If there is one thing that I have learned is that the Lord loves us and really puts us in the areas and in the locations that we need to be in. I know that to be true! I honestly have felt the Lords love this past week more than I ever have and I love Him SO much more. If nothing else I know that I have come here to be able to come closer to Him, I have never prayed the way I have or asked and thanked Him in this way before! I love Him and know that He loves you all. Come to know Him, He lives and is there.
Forever and Always,

Wednesday, May 22, 2013 "Tranfered Again!!"

HEYYYY!!!!

So Ive got some intense news for all of you.. I'M TRANSFERRED AGAIN!!!!!!! ha ha yup... I'm currently in a city called Barrie. its a really pretty city! Its got tons of trees and is just one of a kind for sure ha ha. Its like an hour or so above Brampton so I'm in the Northern part! Its pretty crazy! Another thing is, is that I'm not in Spanish work anymore! I'm actually serving in an English ward ha ha... so that is going to be a HUGE change! I cant teach in English! its WAY too hard. ha ha but we'll see how that turns out! I was really scared that I would come here and lose all of my Spanish and what not... but it turns out that there are TONS of Spanish people here still ha ha I had a long conversation with one last night and also I was able to talk with some of the members and potentials that are actually Spanish people! I'm really excited. I don't think I'm going to lose it.

Just some cool news! Arturo, the recent convert in Christie, is going to get married to a member from the church!!! We are really so excited for him to be able to go and get things working out here and also to keep progressing for an eternal family and stuff :) :) its going pretty good! I'm EXCITED for him SOOOO EXCITED!!!! Saying bye to everyone was a crazy crazy thing... it sucked ha ha I was so sad. I loved that ward that I was just serving in! But I'm hoping that it will all work out. I am pretty excited for the future and what it has in store!
I forgot the cord to be able to send pictures but I will send some soon next week for sure! don't even worry about it!
My new companion was actually one of my previous zone leaders from London, and he is from Las Vegas. His name is Elder Rogers! I'm pretty excited to be serving with him and see what we can do here! There is a lot of potential and I think that we will be baptizing TONS soon enough :) ha ha.
I honestly don't have too much to say... New things again! Its going to take some time to adjust.. but things will work out!

Forever and Always,

MA!!!
So with the shirts, yeah that sounds perfectly fine for me! You can just send them if you want... it might be easier that way... I dunno! Also I will go and buy some pants today, just some really cheap ones to be good summer pants for proselyting ha ha! I hope that it will all work out good ill use my CREDIT CARD for that one OK? It sounds like everything was a success ha ha its funny seeing that picture of me and troy because I only see from one angle and now I can see what it looks like from your side ha ha that's great! I hope that you guys are really doing good and I'm sorry that this letter is not long ha ha I have honestly nothing to say... I said it all yesterday :) I loved seeing you all and just seeing how much everyone has grown up! It amazes me at times to see the growth that occurs in such short time of people and especially when its within the walls  of your own family! It was WAY cool talking to troy and randy in Spanish ha ha that was way weird! but its going to be cool in the future with it all! I love you so much I hope you know that, and I hope that you know that I am so grateful for all that you do for me. Its great to be a missionary when you have such a great family that you don't have to worry about them! Stay strong and smile and things will work out :) love you!

Monday, May 6, 2013 "The play opened"

FAMILY!!!!!!!
So to just start off, I am probably going to be skyping :) and it will be Sunday and at like 6ish probably? and I have only an hour as well ha ha last time I didn't realize and just kept talking... really sorry ha ha! But we are going to give you a call this week and let you know! Let the grandparents come for sure and Cait for sure :) I cant wait, I'll call you guys later and give you a set time! It will be like 4 or 5ish for you guys though out there!
This last week was probably one of the funniest weeks of my life and probably the funniest as as missionary!

Monday: Just a normal P day... really great, played soccer
Tuesday: Elder Paul V Johnson Mission tour, and then Opening night of the Book of Mormon play
Wednesday: Zone Leader Council WITH Paul V Johnson
Thursday: Normal day
Friday: Book of Mormon Play take 2
Saturday: Alex Boye Fireside
Sunday: Renewing my Covenants :)

hahaha So that was basically the week in a nut shell! PRETTY GREAT EHHH??? ha ha the chance to sit and meet with an General Authority was probably one of the coolest chances of my life. we got to learn SOOO much from him and we really did get to do some great things! I have learned so much from random meetings and instructions from people, but that was probably the coolest one!
Alex Boye came to Brampton and we were able to ride down with some investigators and go to it! It was really fun! Not quite the same spirit that I felt with Elder Johnson ha ha... it was kinda crazy, like a baptist church, but still really great! He sang a little bit! Look up his song "I will rise" its with an Orem institute choir, and is really good!
Sorry those details aren't really too great, but its cause I don't have much time and I really wanted to talk about the "Book of Mormon" play haha!
Basically everybody thought that we were actors and thought it was super funny! but we would be like "nope real Mormons" haha it was so intense! What we did was met up at the church, put about 25 BOM's in the backpack, and like 30 pamphlets of the Restoration in there and well and then just subway ed down to the theater and just went wild ha ha! We went with a couple other companionship's and within an hour we handed out 105 Book of Mormons, and 125 or so pamphlets haha! That was opening night! The other night we just took 50 and like 200 pamphlets.... wanna guess what happened? all... GONE. hahaha you seriously feel so crazy doing it! I'll give you a description over skype of what happens haha but you feel like a salesman! We'd say stuff like "FREE BOM'S, the BOOK IS BETTER THAN THE PLAY, and guess what??? ITS FREE!!!!!!" I started saying stuff like "FREE COPY OF THE BOOK OF MORMON FREE WITH TICKETS, FREE PAMPHLET OF WHERE THIS BOOK OF MORMON PLAY ORIGINATES!!!! FREE WITH ADMISSION!!!!" hahaha  its soooo funny! but so fun! I got asked a couple of times to get a picture taken with me... ha ha I got asked for my autograph hahahah... its seriously so crazy! but so fun! You get pretty scared cause there are so many people, but honestly it made my testimony grow that much more! I know that the Book of Mormon is real, and I know that there will be people baptized from them receiving that wonderful blessing in their lives. Its so fun. Its been unifying the Zone for sure, we all are trying to go down at separate times and just go hog wild! I'll explain more later :)

I simply want to end with my testimony of that the church is true. I have never been so blessed in my live than now. I know its because of the trials that He gives me, to make me who I need to become. I Love it.
Forever and Always,

Elder B. Beyer :)

Monday, April 29, 2013 "Book of Mormon is opening in Toronto"

FAM!
Ha ha those are some great pictures from last week! That's for certain ha ha! I loved um! ha ha bubba looks like super skinny but that he is getting like WAY taller, Caden with some LONG hair and everyone else in those pics too ha ha like seriously crazy to see that! and Cars looks great :) :)
This last week was a pretty different week for sure... I am certain that I have come to know my Savior on a new level and am certain that the Lords love is real.

We have been struggling to find new people... which is CRAZY because right when we got here we were tearing it UP! and things were just going incredibly... We found people daily and it was AWESOME and now its not as good as we would hope it to be! And it doesn't really make sense why... because we are outside daily, talking with everyone we see, and we are truly going home every single night EXHAUSTED... and it just doesn't make sense as to why it seems like it isn't paying off.. I really was struggling with this concept, because usually when you do something right, then good things come of it no? but whenever we seemed to be trying our best, the less good things we saw... But I have come to realization that it is seriously more normal than we think! No matter what happens, the LORD ALWAYS HAS A PURPOSE for EVERYTHING! It just simply makes me think of Nephi... and how he would "go and do the things the Lord commanded" even when he "knew not the things before hand" of what he would do... and even with the circumstances... he would go and do things these and STILL, he received trial after trial! He got denied of the plates TWICE, he got beaten by a rod from his brothers, he was mocked, persecuted... and still went on... and AFTER all of that, he kept going and kept being the best that he could be! and then in turn, they received the plates! WE still really haven't seen "the plates" or the blessings of our hard work in a while but I know that the Lord will provide a way... I have come to know patience on my mission ha ha... I feel like waiting has been the HARDEST thing for me but that at the very beginning of my mission I asked Him "Father... I need patience... help me." and He hasn't given me it, but He definitely has given me opportunities to learn in at my own rate! The Lord really does love us and really want whats best for us, no matter what trial is brought upon us... I feel like this letter doesn't really explain well how the Lord works, because I seem to drift when I write ha ha but I know that if something is of God and we need blessings if we continue they will come!

We don't really have too many crazy stories about helping someone into a font this week ha ha but hopefully there will be some good ones in the upcoming weeks!

We are trying to skype for mothers day.. well at least I am ha ha so I will let you know how it goes... I don't know if you want to try and make it so Carsen and I can do it at the same time or just keep it simple and separate but just let me know! This week is the opening week for the Book of Mormon play here in Toronto haha we are STOKED!!!! Its Tuesday night, Us and 2 other companionship's are going to the tether out front and are going to be giving them the REAL opportunity to know the Word of God ha ha! I'll let you know how it goes ha ha we'll have some good experiences I can just feel it :)

I love you all. The gospel is true. I cant say it enough. Good things come to those who patiently wait, and the blessings they honestly always do!

Forever and Always,

Monday, April 22, 2013 "Baptism"

HEYYY THERERRR!!!!
That's is some crazy stuff about Coulter... geezz! What a miracle and a half! I'm really glad to hear that he is doing well and that things are going to work out :) he's incredible! BERKLEY IS GOING ON A MISH????? WHERE????? You never told me that one!!! ha ha I wanna know now! that's crazy stuff!!! That's really neat :)
I used my credit card this week to be able to get allergy stuff... I'm dying right now ha ha like it was so bad for a little bit but now its slowly getting better, no worries :)
This week we had probably one of the craziest events EVERRRR happen ha ha! It is going to be a memory forever engraved in my mind ha ha! SO there is this lady, who had been coming to church for weeks in the English ward and just wouldn't get baptized... like just wouldn't... it was really really weird why she wouldn't because she believes in everything! Well the English elders planned for no baptism this week and actually dropped her as an investigator because she wouldn't be baptized but then she would still come to church and everything! Well their church is at 930 and ours is at 1... sooo...... she came to church this last week and we were like man... how has she not been baptized this is ridiculous! ha ha... so we went up and I asked her "so are you going to be baptized today?" and she was like ehhh I dunnoo.... and we were like "well why not? whats the reason? you know its true?" and she was like... "well... umm... I don't have white clothes!" and we went around the corner and got here the stuff... "shes like "umm... the font isn't full"... so we started to fill it... then shes like " I don't have a change of clothes...." and we found a member to take her and get it!!!! so we officially got her concerns solved... only problem is that it takes like 3 hours to fill the font.... hahah well... we all just got like pitchers and pots from the kitchen and just started filling them up in the bathroom and went to town hahaha!! and we filled it by the time she got back in like an hour!! Then I interviewed her and she came, and then got baptized!!! it was INTENSE ha ha!!!! like seriously. They weren't planning on having one but then everything just fell into place, once we were pretty bold with her and told her to just get in! ha ha coolest thing ever! We had like 3 sets of missionaries doing it ha ha! SWEETTTTT...

It built my testimony on how awesome baptism is... seriously... it was the coolest thing that had ever happened. The gospel is REAL... to those who don't believe, trust me. It is! I have just seen more and more experiences of the reality of His love the more I come to Him. This last week was incredible!
I hope that you all are well! Mom... ride my vespa so it doesn't break down ha ha and make sure to change the oil if you wanna go on a big adventure with it ;) ha ha enjoy life! Its the greatest, especially with the family! I LOVE the idea that families are eternal and that God loves us... its SWEET. nothing else can describe it! I love you!
Forever and Always,
Elder B. Beyer :)

Monday, April 15, 2013 "Things are great"

HELLOOO!!!
Things here in the city are just GREAT as ever haha! Things are really going well! I cant believe that I'm staying haha its really crazy to believe that! I was so happy for Pete! That is really one of the COOLEST things in the world! Baptism is SOO cool... I know that I definitely took it for granted on how great the Atonement is and how important baptism is, in each and everyone of our lives. I love this Gospel and I love the JOY it brings.
I just really really want to talk about a great subject... the Power of the Priesthood.
Now, when I say that I took that for granted too I would not be lying in the slightest... haha DO NOT TAKE THAT FOR GRANTED! How important is the Priesthood? Well... its the power of God himself, its the way that helps us enter into Covenants (or promises between you and God), its the way to be saved, cleansed... EVERYTHING... ITs SOOO COOLL!!!! This last week we actually gave the Aaronic Priesthood to Arturo, one of the people we baptized in February! And it was SWEET! haha... we were able to see the change right away too, right when he received it! We should never take for granted this gift from God... I know that the blessings of the Priesthood are REAL... when we struggle or are sick we can receive blessings to help us. WE CAN BLESS AND PASS THE SACRAMENT!! Do not take for granted the Sacrament either... Its the way to re join ourselves again with our Heavenly Father! Weekly! Uhh.. I just wish that I would have understood that much better when I was younger. Everything with God is Great haha simple enough! Things are what you make of them, and if you want to hate what the church offers, you better understand what it does offer before you hate it haha! If church is "too boring" well.. understand what they are talking about and it will be interesting... "passing and blessing the sacrament is lame" haha... yeah right! you are literally being the servants of God to administer one of the most sacred blessings on this earth to your brothers and sisters... The more we take for granted the blessings of the kingdom, the more we are denying the happiness that the Lord wants us to enjoy!
I know that this church is true... I coasted on my parents testimonies for like 18 years of my life.. but I'm finally to the point where I can truly say that I know that this church is of God... and that everything that we do within is what brings eternal happiness! This Gospel is REAL but so is Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.. And they both love us all so much!
Walk in Righteousness, Stand fast to the Truth. Its Real. I Promise.
I love you so much.
Forever and Always,
Elder B. Beyer
