Monday, June 24, 2013 "Zone Conference"

Heyyyy THERREEEE!!!!

First off, thank you for the packages! They were quite INCREDIBLE haha I love the shirts, too bad its a million degrees so I don't need them right now, but when I do they will be great :) haha also thanks for the butt load of candy haha it was SOOO stinkin good! I have almost eaten it all... I maybe shouldn't be sent anymore candy.. I just eat it in like one day and get sick from it... hahah.. but its allll goooddd :))

This last week we had a Zone Conference with like 3 other zones haha and guess who I saw there... THE ONE AND ONLY ELDER STEELE hahahah! It was sooo funny to see him again and just laugh and talk with him! He is looking really good and seems to be really happy, I did some role plays with him and his companions in Spanish :) It was super great to speak some Spanish with everyone there!!!!! GREATTTT STUFF!!!!

I think that the greatest things that I have been learning in my life is the ability to just rely on the Lord whenever a trial comes into our lives. Its a really really weird thing to think that the Lord honestly just gives us trials to make us stronger ha ha.. in some senses it makes absolutely no sense but in others it really does... For example if some one is trying to get bigger in the muscle category one must work out right?? So the thing is they have to go through some resistance before they are able to grow. Its the same thing with our lives and especially the spiritual side of things.. We need to be able to endure some hard trials in order to be able to grow. If we do that and if we are capable of enduring, we will be able to grow SO much! Its one of the most incredible feelings to know that the Lord is there to help us out when we are in need if we work hard for it!

This past week has been a week FULL of doors slammed on our faces, and also people telling us off, but ill tell you this much, I know that you have to take a few of those before you can have some incredible weeks and finding the most prepared people ever! I love how the Lord works with us.

We are hopefully going to see some baptisms this week! We are looking forward to possibly 2 or 3! its going to be sweet if all works out how we had planned for it! so we will see how it goes :)

Well I love you all, I hope that all is well and that we all are able to help out with whatever it may be to become better and help others to be the same way!

Monday, June 17, 2013 "Happy Father's Day"

HEYYYYYY!!!!
HAPPYYY FATTTHHHERRRRSSSSS DAYYYYYYYY!!! Man I hope that you all passed that holiday well hahah it was funny this guy in church was talking about it and what fathers day really is, and he was like "Fathers day is just a second mothers day. We still do all the fun stuff though like BBQ and chill." haha I thought it was pretty funny! I laughed way hard when I heard that! But its been really good!

This last week, was one of the neatest experiences of the mission for sure! We have been working with these 2 investigators, long before I got here as well, and they were living common law. Which is when you are "married" if you have been living for 6 months together... but they had been doing it for like 12 years. and they had 3 kids and what not. So they have been just going through life and the other elders before us, invited them to be married and also to be baptized and we have just helping them out as much as possible. So this week was their scheduled wedding date and everything really just fell into place!!!!!!!! and we were able to see that and help out with it a little bit, my companion was fortunate enough to sing Amazing Grace and it was just such a good reception! So the pictures that I sent were of them and us, and it was just at the church and was performed by the bishop! But still really cool. ha ha I have never had that happen to me on my mission, and it was a really special moment for sure!

WAY crazy thing happened as well haha! So what went down was we were tracting and were trying to find some new people... and we went and found this family with 4 boys! We were like score!! haha but little did they know they were going to bash us... so it goes from bad to worse and at the end we were like YIKEESSS... and then we just kept going on with it. So at the very end we thought that we were going to be done with that stuff... but then they said that we could come over and help them paint... so we were like OK! We went and it honestly was just her and her husband trying to convert us haha... yeah... it was pretty nuts because they were trying to tell us that God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost were ONE... OK... so the doctrine of the trinity... and lets just say my testimony was increased on Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel because the doctrine that we have is the one in the New Testament and not just some made up one from a council of people in the year 325 ad... haha but it was really neat because after I went and studied it, and I also have studied what it means to "be saved" and honestly our church and doctrine actually coincide with the Bible and its teachings! I love the truth that we have and the honesty that comes from it all.

Well, time is cruisin on by and I don't know what to even think about it right now haha... its just going by SOOO fast and I know that I need to take it all for granted. I love the church. Its so true its not even funny! I loved those pics that you sent :) haha I hope that I can get my shirt back from caden, that I can grow a beard like troy and never ever have to look like Blair ;) hahaha! I love you all. Forever and Always,

Monday, June 10, 2013 "The Church is True"

FAMILIA!!!!
Mom ha ha don't worry about not writing me! Its completely fine ha ha! Don't feel sick all is well! ha ha I cant believe Grandma showed that to the Hallstroms... I really cant! That's nuts! I was pretty sad that I didn't stay in Toronto, basically for that reason ha ha I loved to go to the play! It was honestly so fun!
Where the heck is Rossiter going??? Those pictures were sooo random ha ha I was like what the heck! I haven't seen them in forever! Its been so weird to just recollect on things from the past at times... whenever i forget about someone and then think of them again its honestly SO weird, that's why whenever I ask you about someone I just honestly am like what the heck is happening with them!! ha ha I just want to know about like P Lunt, Tanner, Garrett... yeah ha ha I have no idea whats going on with them!
Its good to see where everyone is going! Its a great time to be a missionary, that is for sure! there is a lot of great things happening all over the place and it is evident with the spirit that can be felt in all parts of the world. Especially here in the CTM! ha ha I thought that Ashton would get his call to here, I was banking on it ha ha. There has been NOBODY from Kaysville that's gotten called here in such a long time! I'm the only one! Its a JOKE. ha ha but oh well its good stuff, I Love it here!
So we have been working with this family, and its been so fuunnnn!!! because they were a little less active for quite some time but now they are starting to come back to church and one of their kids is unbaptized! Its been SO fun working with them though. its been one of the most different experiences of my mission! Because the mom is from Peru, the dad is from Trinidad but the kids were all born here ha ha! So its a mix of EVERYTHING!!! But whats cool, is I have been able to talk with the mom lots and sometimes I get to clarify things for her! Its been a great process in this whole thing for sure! They have been coming back to church and man its SOOO fun! Its been really spiritual! At the beginning it was tough, because we felt like it was only us trying to get the son baptized... but now the whole family seems to be working hard for that goal and its WAY close now! Everyone is seriously trying and praying for him now. Its been one of the coolest things ever!! I love it out here in Barrie and I have been able to learn SO much! I have been trying to memorize scriptures and stuff ha ha its tough but teaching in English has taught me that I really do have a testimony of the gospel and that it goes deeper than I realized it does! I enjoy it so much!
I saw a "Ski Resort" out here the other day hahahah I had to take a picture and show you... its something else for sure!
I love you all. the church is true, just act and you'll find it for sure! I have no doubt about it.
Love Forever and Always,

Monday, June 3, 2013 "I'm Stoked"

HELLLOOOOO!!!
Ha ha to be honest, when I saw those pictures of the family and especially of Caden I got STOKED ha ha it was SOOO gnarly!!!! You guys are lookin great! But i LOVE IT HERRREE!! :) :)
Soooooo... I'M STOKED that coach Gladwell is back :) He is the greatest guy ever! Is Bishop still workin there? I hope so for reals. I cant believe all that has happened since Ive left ha ha! BLAIR!!!! I'm SOOOOO PROUD OF YOUU :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Tell Blair, that every one in the district is so happy for him :)! I let them all know I was so excited ha ha! How is tanner hinds doing? his name came to my mind this week and I really would love to hear about him, and see how he is? If you can get me his email I would love that!

Hey for family night, you need to just start watching the Book of Mormon cartoons and just learning about all the characters and their purpose and also about Jesus Christ! Get the boys ready at a young age so that they can learn faster than me!!!! I love you. DO IT!

This week has been probably the busiest one of my life!!! We have taught more lessons than I ever have... its been probably the greatest blessing I have ever seen! I LOVE IT! The Lord is helping out immensely!
The coolest thing that is happening is we have these 3 investigators... one is a part member family and the other were a couple. So the part member family has been really fun! We have been teaching them all and trying to help ALL of them come back to church, and its been one of the most spiritual experiences of my life. We have taught them the plan of salvation so much its not even funny, but its made my testimony absolutely grow! I have seen the change in their lives and I honestly know its from the Lord. The coolest thing is that, the mom is from Peru! So we have conversations in Spanish and I clarify a lot of things with her, and help her to be able to understand the lessons! I KNOW, that I was sent here to Barrie for a reason. I really do. Its been so intense to see the change and the strength and the love that has been made within this family, simply because of living the gospel in the daily lives.

The other has been the greatest thing as well! Their kids were just baptized about two months ago, but as of right now we are teaching the parents and working towards baptism! They were living common law at the time, but now they are scheduled to be baptized AND married!!!!! Their marriage is coming up in 2 weeks and the next day is their baptism. Its such a miracle. Went from not believing in God to where they are now! The Lord LIVES... its soooo great! Honestly I have never seen the change in peoples lives as much as I have here, in this area.. I have honestly learned so much from being in English work ha ha! Because you don't worry about another language, you just worry about learning the gospel and try to make sure you understand it enough to teach the people about it! My testimony has been amplified SOO much from just simply UNDERSTANDING, what the church believes and how things really came to pass. That's my biggest suggestion for all of you, if you don't believe in the gospel or think that things are really wrong, or you just don't know what to think... TRY to understand it first before you judge it and say it is wrong. Just understanding my Patriarchal blessing has helped me to know myself and also to just know what i need to do in life. Understanding the doctrine of Jesus Christ, helps us more than anything else in this life, and more than we could understand life, by ourselves.
This month is going to be a month of miracles, we are STOKED. Never be satisfied with OK.. :)

I love you all,

Forever and Always,

Elder B Beyer
