Monday, December 30, 2013 "Love you"

HEY HEY HEY!

Christmas Day!
hahahahahahah I laughed SO hard about the Charlie thing hahahahha! You all seem really really good right now and seem like you are enjoying the great wondrous life! So the house looks SUPER different haha. That's so weird! Do we still have the piano?
Well.. I really don't know what more to write or say haha. This week was a really cool week for E Bramwell and I. We are seeing great success and are really having a BLAST. Ive never laughed so hard in my life. This has been really good for me because I have felt lately that I've had to "step up" so much with a lot of things that I've slipped out of who I really am for a while.. but now I feel like the Lords given me this opportunity to be able to keep those "stepping up" moments and still be myself. Its been really great. I love it.
The count down is on!!
Listen to the crazy miracles of this week. This kid named Issac walked into the bishops office and asked if he could be able to get an ecclesiastical endorsement from the Bishop so that he could go to BYU. So the bishop took his number and passed him off to us so he could "know more about BYU and the standards" we taught him and his mom and they are miracles. They told us that they have family in Utah and that they are members. The greatest thing that they said was that they have seen the biggest change in their families life for the better after they joined the church. They said they are looking for a sense of belonging and really want to know the truth. I cant explain how much the Lord is hastening his work by preparing people. Its incredible. Another lady, we tracted into and she told us she wasn't interested and to go to her neighbors. Well we went and set up a time and came back later. While we went back the first lady that sent us there was there and she was the most prepared lady ever. She almost was baptized, and the only reason she didn't was because she didn't receive this GIANT answer.. and the only reason she shewed us off was because she thought that people in our church would judge her because of that... by the end of explaining things to her she asked us for a book of Mormon to be able to read and see if she could get that answer again. SO COOL.
The best part about the week was our "Skills and Interviews".. Its crazy coming from a zone that you have been in for over 9 months to one where you know basically nobody... We came in with the expectation of letting these missionaries know that we love them but that the performance of the zone right now is at a minimum and that there is HUGE room for improvement. The way that we started it off was the day before we asked the missionaries to bring us 10 bucks each.. they didn't know what for and a lot of them (when we found out later) thought we were ripping them off. We showed them that we have to be obedient to the counsels of our leaders and E Bramwell shared this story of a mission President who asked for the right shoe of his missionaries to see who was willing to listen to his counsel. It set the tone strongly and we just went from there. It was one of the funnest instructions I've ever been a part of. The missionaries have been doing incredible things, and its only been like 4 days since then! They are out and really trying the best that they can. Its been great.
I love my mission. I love everything about it. This has seriously been the greatest thing that I have ever done and I'm so grateful for the blessings that I have seen. I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ.. and it kills me to see people who have it in their lives but just don't apply it at all... its heart wrenching. Because they could really be able to see the most blessings of their lives if they just tried to come closer to the Savior. I know if we try to go to Him that He will run to us. I love it and I love all of you!

Monday, December 23, 2013 "NOT homesick"

HEY THERE!!!

Mom. Homesick is the farthest thing from where I'm at right now. I don't want to be home, I'm sorry to say that but its SO true. I LOVE it out here ha ha! its SO much fun and being a missionary in this wonderful time is the thing that is most special to me, I love it. I love talking about Christ in the time of His birth and love talking about how all of us can come closer to Him. There is NOTHING like it. So don't worry, I'm not homesick :)

Those pictures are so funny. Caden is probably the creepiest looking kid in the world in the Christmas card hahaha I imagined him sticking his head out a window and saying "Ive got some candy in my car kids!" hahahah so funny! but his hair is really rad, i love it. Those pics of Bubs are so cute. Its so funny because hunt brax and bubs look the same just taller and stuff you know? really funny!

This week has been one of the craziest yet funnest weeks of my mission! hands down haha! I LOVE it. Elder Bramwells a champion! we are the triple threat, we go and talk to English, Chinese and Spanish and have been working our tails off. The apartment was literally the nastiest thing I've ever lived in. We cleaned it and threw tons of stuff away, I'll send you a picture of all the junk we accumulated over this past week. Its gross. We started the week with zero investigators and really have just been working hard and we've found some pretty incredible people. I love English work, you can set some great expectations with people and can express yourself SO much easier than in Spanish haha! we have been working really really hard and its really paying off.

I'M really so happy right now, i love my mission. I love life and I'm SO grateful for my Savior. I have a few stories I will tell tomorrow... i hope that we can find someone to use their computer... we haven't yet but we will continue to try. don't worry, we'll cal you tomorrow and set something up :) I really love you all so much. I cant wait to see you in 2 :)

Forever and Always,

Monday, December 16, 2013 "Be Positive"

HEY THERE!

I LOVE the Caldwell's. If you want to go you can, I LOVE them.

My mormon.org is lame ha ha I made that in the MTC and parts out here! Its so funny! You should make one, they are like "Mormon Facebooks" haha

Release date. Gross. (We told Elder B. Beyer we got his release date...March 12)

I'm not going to lie, I have NO idea about skype ha ha we are whitewashing in.. so we know literally zero members and people down there so we will just play it by ear yeah? we'll call you on the 24 :) let you know how it goes. I was so sad when I found out that Elder Steele was going home I'm not going to lie! I LOVE that character ha ha he is from Eagle Idaho did you know that?

Well as you know, I'm going to be leaving Toronto here and go back down to London! Its going to be pretty crazy! I'm excited! its going to be so fun! I'm going to be with an elder named Elder Bramwell, he is a Chinese elder from California. He is super cool. I know him pretty well, but we are stoked! we will be whitewashing in tomorrow ha ha! this is going to be NUTS, the first time whitewashing for elder b Beyer! We are going to KILL IT! We are going to baptize nations out there!

This week was a really good one for me. I got to talk personally with President Scott about a few things, and the biggest thing that stuck out to me was this.. That we ALL need to exaggerate the positive. That's the thing of life. If its cold, say MAN I'm glad Ive got my coat! If you're hungry say, man that food is getting that much better! whatever it needs to be, that's what we need to say! We need to all be as positive as possible because if we do we will be able to access the light of Christ more fully in our lives and really be able to feel the Lords love. Its true. I have seen it in my own life and am so grateful for that! we need to look at all challenges with great happiness and joy!

I love you all and hope that you are well :) have a wonderful week, i will SEE you next week :)

Forever and Always,

Monday, December 9, 2013 "Christ into Christmas"

HEY HEY HEY!

Wow, you all sound and look great! I'm not going to lie, Caden looks filthy. I LOVE the hair!

Man, this week was a CRAZY one! CRAZY GOOD because I was a missionary! :) I hope all of you watched that Christmas devotional from the Church this Sunday! It was AWESOME, we had this great family go to it with us, but seriously it was SO good! I really enjoyed hearing the words of the Prophet and Apostles about the great meaning of Christmas. I don't know if I wrote this to you, or in a letter.. But I thought of this Christmas broken down is CHRIST mas.. So Christ- Jesus the Son of God, and Mas- in Spanish means MORE.. CHRIST MORE.. Take this time to think more of Him. One great quote from the Devotional yesterday was "True Happiness comes as you make others happy. When you lose yourself for them, you find Christ." and "The opportunities to give of yourself are limitless." I really hope that you can all grasp onto those concepts and truly strive to LIVE them.

We had some pretty great guests this last week in the mission! Elder Hallstrom and Elder Homer. They talked about some pretty remarkable things that I have really taken to heart. Elder Homer talked about how we need to live our missions with no regrets and that when we get on the plane that we need to be feeling that you left it all there on the table. Elder Hallstrom talked about CHANGE and how its a NOW thing, not later. It was so great to hear those two talks and be able to want to apply them into my life. The 3 points that Elder Hallstrom said about change were that we 1. Gain a vision 2. Make Commitments and 3. Have Self Discipline. If we do those things in life and in a gospel perspective we will be able to become the people that the Lord needs us to be. IT was one of the greatest things ever!  Find something to change and Do it. I invite you! ITS GREAT TO CHANGE AND BECOME BETTER. ITS AWESOME!

We have been so fortunate in our area lately, we are teaching some pretty remarkable people who are searching for the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has really helped me know that the gospel is real, and that there are people who are looking for it. We are pretty close to seeing some great things in the area, we have a few working towards baptism and a few who are going out of town for the holidays but will return with the desire and need to be baptized. The coolest thing is teaching families. I LOVE teaching families. They are SO stinking awesome and CAN BE ETERNAL through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I had a great opportunity to go give 2 baptismal interviews for a husband and a wife out in Mississauga. It was great to be able to talk with them and to go back to The Saga!!!! I miss it so much haha! I think the best thing about being able to go back there was just being able to see the growth that I have had from there to now... I honestly couldn't believe it. We would be driving and I would see places and remember all of the great memories that I had. I remember how GREEN I was haha and how inexperienced I was, and now to see where the Lord has taken me. It has been one of the greatest things to know. That the Lord truly has helped me for the time that I have been out on my mission. I love my mission and am so grateful for the change that its brought in my life. I have come to know that God really is our loving Heavenly Father, and that Jesus Christ is His son. They are perfect and their plan is to help us to become as they are. I know that They live and They LOVE us. The gospel is the means that helps us to transcend all iniquity and evade all the obstacles that Satan places before us. I really know that Joseph Smith is his chosen prophet.. It just makes sense. God has always conveyed His message through prophets, why would He stop now? I know that we are so blessed and have a prophet on the earth today, and am so grateful for that knowledge that I have.

I love you all, and hope you are well. Work hard in all that you do and you WILL see the blessings of the Lord. YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN. If you want church to be great and revelatory, then make it that way. If you want the scriptures to be Gods word, then read them as if they were. YOU GET WHAT YOU GO FOR.

Forever and Always,

Monday, December 2, 2013 "Happy Thanksgiving"

NICE TRIP PICS!

Man... All i have to say is that I feel when I look at Bubs that I'm looking at Carsen and when i look at Doctor Drey that I'm looking in the stinkin mirror.. what in the world is going on haha? what is in the water there in K Town? Steroids yeah? THEY ARE HUGE. haha so funny! I just got some good laughs at these guys!

This week was quite the week. I'm not going to lie! It was pretty darn great! We have seen some wonderful miracles and have just seen great success on the Lords part. Ive never seen so many blessings at once in my mission. THE LORD IS HASTENING HIS WORK. I am so grateful to be one of His servants at this time.

I think the biggest miracle was seeing this family we have been teaching for a while, come to church. This is a Venezuelan family that is AWESOME. I love them so much. They came and they just loved primary! The kids are really what are going to make this all work out. They are so stinking cool and really are receptive to the Spirit! When they just showed up, EVEN WHEN, they said they weren't, I thought i was going to die.. First of hunger (because we were fasting) but second of just shock! ha ha it was SO awesome. There is no doubt to me, that fasting really works. One cool experience, was that President and Sister Scott were at the church and we were with just the mom, and we taught a lesson with Sister Scott! Now, I'm not just saying this.. but she is like the most spiritual lady ever! The Spirit was SO strong and really helped Jahy to feel that this is the path that she needs to be on, i really have come to feel those blessings and feel the Spirit tell me MULTIPLE times that this is true.

Going off of that, we taught this remarkable lesson with this other investigator. He was being VERY evasive with us and was really hesitant with the answers he brought forth. But we testified and invited him to pray to know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God.. and he did.. and ALL of us in the room, whether for the first time or fifth.. received the witness that he is. I know that because of the Spirit that i have felt.

Lastly, the coolest thing was hearing a 76 year old, recent convert get up and bear her testimony this week. With all honesty, she got up and told us all how she was found and what impact it has made on her life. The greatest thing was seeing the change and knowing that THIS GOSPEL IS FOR EVERYONE. White or black, young or old. EVERYONE. She is going on vacation this week to El Salvador for a few months.. and this is the thing that stood out most to me. When she said "when i get there, the first thing I'm going to do is thank God for getting me there. He WILL get me there. And then i will go and preach the gospel to my family. I promise you all, that i will return here with good news." I don't recall the last time that i felt the Spirit that strongly. This gospel is intended for families. This gospel changes and helps them. This gospel is intended FOR THEM TO BE FOREVER. Without it, they can NOT be. I can back that up with my testimony. If a 76 year old woman, with poor health but a heart of gold can share the gospel.. then anyone can. And AGAIN, I invite you all to do so.

I love you all so much. Pray for opportunities to share this "Good News" with everyone! Be happy and safe!

Forever and Always,

HEY HEY HEY!!!

I just about died when I saw Kole was engaged to Courtney! ha ha that is SO crazy to me. I was seriously in shock ha ha! Same thing with Lee. He came in and I was like What in the world is going on! It happened so fast it couldn't distract me ha ha I would love to see the picture he took of me because i was just in shock. I was in my PJ's and stuff ha ha it was nuts!

This week has been probably one of the greatest ones of my mission! This family that we taught and found when i was up in Barrie were baptized this week!!! it was probably the happiest thing Ive ever experienced! I got to talk to them on the phone and they were just so excited and so grateful for everything! it was incredible :)

We got to go on exchanges with one of the Assistants, named Elder Fielding. He is a great guy. We came out together on the plane. It was honestly just what i needed it gave me some serious desire to be the very best that i could be and to just endure with everything! He just reminded me that being a missionary is fun and that you need to just really relax and to be the best that YOU can be, not what anyone else thinks is your best. I got to talk to the other assistant about some things with the mission and Ive come to conclusion about the greatest thing that we need to have in our lives.. That is DISCIPLINE and CONSISTENCY. I have talked about it in every letter that I have written today haha! Its because in all honesty that is exactly what enduring to the end is! We all need to get on the path and be disciplined and constant with our endeavours of becoming who the Lord needs us to become! None of us are ever going to be perfect but as long as we work towards the goal of becoming as of Father in Heaven we will be blessed.

We had a pretty awesome miracle this week. We taught a lesson last week to this wonderful Mexican family and they said that they wouldn't be able to go to church that week but that they would the next.. well we lost contact with them. Their phone got disconnected and we were like "great.. we will never seen them again!" But we prayed. Really tried to have as much faith as possible, and then we were sitting in church and they just came in! We taught them after, and they said "we have been really looking for a church to join and to be close with. But we are looking for the one with the truth" My companion had to respond because my mouth was just wide open and i was just in awe haha! I really couldn't believe it. The Lord is HASTENING His work RIGHT NOW! I invite you all to continue trying to be the best you can with missionary work. I know that I write it in almost every letter, and its for a purpose.. its because its important. Just like in the Book of Mormon 34 times it quotes that "If we are obedient we will be blessed" Remember that with missionary work. I know that there are plenty members in Utah, but a lot aren't and A LOT more are less active. Reach out your hand and serve your fellowman, with the promise that its as if you were doing it unto CHRIST HIMSELF. Ill let you know this much, the Pedro family (the ones we found in Barrie) came from us helping them move. Reaching out and doing those "small and simple things" WORKS. Trust me. Remember that this was a commitment from Elder Ballard from General Conference... To invite at least ONE person before Christmas.. That's an Apostle of the LORD, I'm positive he said that for a reason. I'm just reiterating what he said :)

With Love forever and always,

Monday, November 18, 2013 "Not going to lie!"

Hey There!

"Yeah we know how to cook"
I'm not going to lie.. seeing Derek, Brock and Kole was like the WEIRDEST THING EVER. Haha I really was like "what the french toast!?" haha I cant believe how fast time really has flown by and where we really have gone. I cant believe that it is almost December right now. That to me is the weirdest thing.
That poem that you sent me is EXACTLY what a mission is haha. No lie.
The FAM....Me, E. Parker, E. Johanson and E. Landgren
This week has been a really sacred and special one for me. I don't know if you will remember them, but there was a family that we taught and found in Barrie through helping them move. Their named the Pedros? Do you remember them? So they haven't been baptized still but were really working hard for everything. I wrote them a note when we went to Mission Leadership Council and gave it to Elder Thompson and he gave it to them, it was just about how i love them and my testimony. Basically one of the Assistants was on an exchange there in Barrie and they visited the Pedro's and they were able to give me a call. And I talked to the wife Ana, and she just thanked me for everything and just told me about how their process has been and that my note really effected them. She also told me that they were going to be baptized on the 22 November!!! I was tearing up, it was something really special for me. Because I have the strongest testimony on families and how they can be eternal through the gospel.
We have been teaching a wonderful family here in Toronto! I truly do know that the Lord is hastening His work solely on how many people we are finding and how many families we are teaching. I really know that there is much to do here and that as MEMBERS its our responsibility to make it happen! I really love it so much. But the thing that has been the best about this family is that there are 2 kids, a 9 year old and 3. To open the lesson with prayers, we all kneel down and i whisper to the little 3 year old what to say. HE ALWAYS wants to pray and ALWAYS makes me whisper it to him! haha its SO cute! The little 9 year old girl has a children's Book of Mormon, and knows the story better than I do, I'm not kidding! It has been such a great feeling to help families receive the blessings of the gospel! I know that its only because its the Lords work that its working so well in His way too.

I really have come to know that the Lord lives and truly does love us. I know that this is His work and that the prophet and apostles are called of Him. I love reading the ensign from General Conference and thinking about how I can personally apply their teachings into my own life. Apply the teachings and find the joy. I know that we all need to do the Lords work and help those around us and suggest that we all there in UTAH still do the Lords work. Its not just a thing that we do when "we feel like it" this is an expectation He has set for us. Make that your number one priority.

I love you. Forever and Always,

Elder B Beyer

Tuesday, November 13, 2013 "Time goes fast!"

HEY THERE!!

I really cant believe that Derek goes home this week. Man time goes by so fast! Its really so crazy to me!
Things have been going really well for me right now. Currently we are working hard, and are really working to making our area a great one! We have a few investigators that are working towards baptism right now and it should be a really good next couple of weeks! We have a guy named David, who is working towards the 24th of Nov, and is doing soooo good! We asked him the other day. "Well David... Whats the next step man? What do we need to do, to help you?" and he just responded.. "I have to get baptized, that's it." it was a powerful lesson for us. He is doing so well! He is a funny guy, hes about 24 and just really fun to teach! I think he is going to be baptized then! Keep him in your prayers! We also have this little kid named Mike, he is really close, i think that we are going to help him pretty soon! Hes working for the 24th right now too, but we'll see how that goes! He is awesome too, hes the 9 year old!

So this last week was a really fun one for us! We have a new way of finding Spanish people hahaha! You are really going to die when you hear this. So right now, we figured out that a certain kind of satellite shows where Spanish people live. You probably don't believe it, but I'm going to send a picture of what they look like haha. If they have 3 prongs that means they are Spanish. We have knocked probably 7 or 8 doors now and its been 100% right now! How crazy is that?? We found a new investigator from it the other day haha! Its so cool! It makes it so much easier for us!
I love the gospel! We have been teaching this little girl, she is 7, and her parents want us to give her the lessons before she is 8. We have been teaching her and its been so much fun. Its SO hard to teach little kids doctrine.. I see why parents are so patient and really can help them grow so much haha its TOUGH! But its so fun! its helped my understanding of the gospel increase so much, i really love it!

Living with 4 elders is CRAZY fun! haha its full of laughter and just straight energy for the work! I love it so much! haha its been really clean too, I've been designated as the "Patriarch of the House" because I'm the oldest haha and I get to decide who prays and stuff ;) its funny! But its been such a blast!

I know the Church is true and that we are so blessed to be in it. Don't forget that! Being a missionary has changed my life, and I'm so grateful for the Lord and all He has done for me! Its so worth it!

Forever and Always,

Monday, October 28, 2013 "CongratsTroy!!"

HEY HEY HEY!!!

CONGRATS TROY!!!!! Smack him in the face though. He told me he was going to wait for me and then didn't.. TOOL... but then give him a hug and tell him good work for working on progressing in the gospel ;) hahah! Hes a good dude! I'm super happy for them! I really thought i was going to get married before Blair AND Troy ;) ;) Just Kidding!!

Tell Everyone Hi and that I love them! Things are really going well right now! I have really no complaints! We have had some AWESOME experiences this week! We have been teaching so much lately haha, E Prochnow and I both are just sitting back and just thanking the Lord, because we aren't doing really anything too special! Its ALL Him. You have no idea how happy it makes me to see His work progress.. It really is, and it really will continue as long as we try and strive to be the best that we can be. These past couple of weeks I have really been reflecting on life, and on my mission and it really has been the greatest experience of my life. I have felt so much growth from the Lord, i cant even believe it! Everything we have really does come from Him.

So this Saturday was probably one of the funniest experiences that I have had on my mission haha! Are you ready for this?? We had a CHAPEL OPEN HOUSE! What we did was we had about 7 companionship's down at our church in the busiest section. So we had specific jobs for everyone, and would have some missionaries go and run down on Bloor (One of the busiest streets in Toronto), and they would be running and dragging people into the church! Once they brought the people into the church, we had missionaries and members doing the chapel tours! There were people showing the church and just really helping them understand what we really believe in! After that, we had a table for when the people finished the tour and we would give them lots of free stuff like Book of Mormons, Bibles, Pamphlets, Proclamations to the World and Living Christs, etc etc, and would get their information with a Chapel Comment Card! and they HAD to come to that desk haha, but then they would leave from there and could get some refreshments and leave. In like 3 hours, we found 15 new investigators! It was AWESOME! We really were on fire as a zone and have really seen some great miracles!!! THE LORD LIVES! I love my mission, and have been really loving the fun that we have when we serve the Lord!

HEY!! I have a friend from here, named Julio, who is coming to Utah for a couple of months in November and December! He is AWESOME, I am going to make sure he calls you so you can give him some free grub :) Deal?? Hes AWESOME! He is really one of the people that has changed my mission and made it ALL worth it.
that is him, he is seriously the MAN!

I love you all. I know God lives. I am convinced that we are in the places we are for a reason. Make a difference in someones life. Whether it be sharing them your testimony, or if you just make them smile. I know happiness is the source of progression. I also know that LOVE is all you need. "ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE" right? The center of our lives should be based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the center of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is Christ and His Atonement, and the center of Christ and His Atonement is LOVE. Use it, because it works! I love you all :) Forever and ALWAYS!

Monday, October 21, 2013

HEY THERE!!

So Andrione is a guy ha ha! Hes from Brazil. I have sent lots of pictures with me and him in them! But yeah he just took a picture and sent it to E Prochnows mom and asked what yours was ha ha! Hes a really good dude! I sent you a picture of him! Hes so awesome!

Man, this week was one of miracles... Usually when we write from like Wednesday on P day to the normal one, its like... really really weird and i have nothing to say. But this weekend was INCREDIBLE. Probably one of the most successful ones I have seen on my mission. Its been SO incredible to see the Lords hand in just about everything that we are doing. He really does live and is with us out here as missionaries. The zone has been on an incredibly great growth since E Prochnow and I have been together. We have just see the Lord constantly pushing us again and again to be better. Right now, this last week ( I'M BRAGGING FOR THE WORK THAT THE LORD HAS BLESSED US WITH), we found 55 New investigators and taught about 100 lessons as a zone. SO INCREDIBLE. I know that the Lord is hastening His work. I have absolutely no doubt about that. We all need to be partakers of it as well! YOU DON'T NEED A NAME TAG TO BE A MISSIONARY.

A thing that I did the other day, was I started to right down all of the things I have been able to sit in on.. For example, with baby blessings or with baptisms or blessings i have been able to give... and It made me realize how grateful I was for the priesthood and everything that we have in life. I really do know that the Lord blesses us with these things. I was fortunate enough to sit in the circle for a guy that I have helped on my mission for the Mel. Priesthood. It was so incredible. I was so honored to be able to help out with that, because its just so great! I know its the authority of God, given to man to perform HIS work.

Helping move the missionaries!
We have been teaching this little guy named Mike. He is 9, and was never baptized. Well, I'm sure we told you the story of how we found him the other day.. But now we have finally gotten to sit down and teach him and we set him with a date for the 3rd of November. He is AWESOME. Such a good little guy! He reminds me of Bubbs. Its so funny. But we have just simplified EVERYTHING to make it make sense to him. But its just been really cool. Yesterday we were at a baptism for someone else and with him as well and he came up to us and was like "Elders I want to get baptized!" We asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said "a missionary in Utah" haha! SO AWESOME! I love the kid. We have another guy named David who is working towards the same day, hes like 24. Its been so incredible to see how MEMBERS are the key in missionary work. We have found both of them on our own efforts, BUT we have gotten members in as fast as possible and THEY are the ones who have made the difference. I know that for a fact. WE ALL NEED TO BE MEMBER MISSIONARIES. I will stress that in every single email until we all start doing it. haha. My favorite thing about Christs gospel, going back to Mike, is its so simple that even children can understand it... Because they are "of the kingdom of God'. Its SO incredible. We just need to recognize that. Its nothing hard, just the simplicity itself brings the greatest divinity to it. I know it changes us too!

My testimony has grown so much lately. I feel so close to my Savior and am SO grateful for Him. I feel such a desire to share His message with the world, because its so real. Even when I'm not the best, I know its true.

I challenge you ALL to find something to fix in life, and to really make wrongs right with anyone you have wronged and feel the power of the Lord more fully in your life. Just do it.

I love you. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. :)

Love FOREVER AND ALWAYS,

Elder B Beyer

I love you Mom :)

DADS BEARD IS WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WHITE!!!!!!!!!!

Do you want my Christmas list?? Pay for some boxes that I can send home... Put money on my account so i can get things for all of you... and.... Nothing else. I don't need anything. I honestly just want new scriptures when i get home... that's all. :) deal?

Things are going SO well here!!! I have been so blessed lately to see the things that I have and just to have been able to be in the situations that Ive been in! I am so grateful for the gospel and everything that it brings to us!

Just some random stuff here,

Can you send me Ashton Reinhold's email?

Did you get my photo card that i sent like a few months ago??

Tell Caden not to use my Red lacrosse stick.

Now with all of those things, those are things that came to my mind this week and i just wrote them down so I didn't have to think about them haha. Let me know, OK?

This week was a very cool week! We were able to teach in church this week. it was pretty fun! We go to the gospel principles class for 2nd hour and that's when we taught. Basically its just us, 2 other companionship's, new members and investigators! So we got in there and just taught the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and were able to watch the restoration video. haha it was really cool. we have just so many people in there and were helping all of them to be able to understand it that much better and clearer! It went really well!

One of the coolest experiences of the week were that we were at ESL and this lady came in. We invited her to learn more about the gospel and she said, "you guys only believe in John Smith, or whatever hes called" and we were like come to church and see what we really believe in.. well she came, and it was right in the middle of a talk on the Atonement of Jesus Christ.. Then we just talked more and more about Jesus Christ... Then we gave her a Living Christ article... haha she was like "uhh.. ok.. maybe you do believe in Jesus Christ more than I thought!" It really was a testimony to me that the center of our church and everything IS JESUS CHRIST.

I want to share a pretty crazy experience that I had the other day. I went to bed, and it was just normal and then I had a dream. This dream has changed how i look at being a missionary and how I focus every day of this work... I was coming around the corner in the SLC airport and was greeted by my friends and family... It was basically like when Troy came home, but this time it was me.. I embraced you all and was just SO happy to see you, and you were to see me. I went around hugging you and was just so happy and you were all so proud of me.. Then I got to Grandpa Bob.. He gave me a hug and was like "hey Brockster! how are you feeling? Do you feel like you did EVERYTHING that you could out there? did you leave it all on the table?"... I remember thinking about that question, really hard... and for some reason i felt like I couldn't.. I felt like i did a 75 percent job.. decent but not my all... I said "Please just send me back for one more transfer.. I PROMISE I wont let you down I PROMISE!!" and then I looked down and my tag was gone... my clothes were normal... I wasn't a missionary anymore and I couldn't do ANYTHING about it... Ever since then, I have woken and said.. I CANT let that happen... I don't know why I felt I should tell you that, but I promise I wont let you down, and especially I wont let the Lord down. I am so grateful for the blessings of the gospel and I feel that that dream can be applied to ANYTHING that you do... DON'T GIVE A HALF ASKED JOB. WORK HARD TIL THE END. The Lord needs us to work hard in EVERYTHING that we do.

My testimony means the world to me, and I am so grateful for it. I love you. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you :)

Monday, October 7, 2013 "Conference was AWESOME"

HEY!! That last picture gives me the chills! :) I LOVE DHS! I agree with you quickly, tell them to NEVER stop the tradition of going to the stake center, they will get WAY more out of it there then in the house... That's just how it works. E..... has been kind of flaky... he hasn't really showed too much interest lately! But we will try our best still! My comp is eating something like the poutine haha. its called Shwarma Pizza haha!

Conference was AWESOME! We went to the church and were there for all the sessions, I think that the Saturday Sessions are probably my favorite ones haha! They are soooooo good! But I really learned many great principles that I need to apply in my life. I know that the Prophet and the Apostles are inspired men of God and that if we live what they teach us we WILL be blessed. Its simple but powerful!

We have had some amazing experiences this last week! I hope that I will have time to write them to you, but I might get kicked off of the computer!

One of the coolest things that happened was that we started a new game kind of thing in the zone! What we focus on is really trying to invite as many people as possible to come to church, be baptized and things like that! We have made like a chart to measure it, and have been sending out highlights of it! Its has been SO fun!!!! For example, one companionship invited 31 people to be baptized and like 156 to come to church! It was CRAZY! We are really focusing our contacts on commitments! Its been SO great and we hope to see more people come to church and eventually be baptized! Its wonderful in the Ossington Zone right now :)

I had a really cool experience this week on the subway! We were just getting done with an exchange with other missionaries and were heading back home. And we started going there and while on the train I saw a guy that looked like an old version of P Lunt.. It was WEIRD and I thought, "Man, I need to contact this guy.." and then I had all these weird thoughts like "NO. DON'T." and whatever, I thought.. "I don't think the Lord wouldn't want me to talk with His children.. What If I promised THIS GUY in the preexistence that I would talk to him and share the gospel with him.??"" and Then counted down from 5 and went for it. "Hey How are you?" then he said "I'm great! Do you have a book for me?".... I'm not kidding, it was one of the coolest experiences of my mission. We just talked about the Book of Mormon and I gave him an overview of what we believe! It really helped me understand that we all have specific purposes in life and we need to help others to gain the purpose of the gospel. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. I know this work is real, and true. I have No doubt about it. One of my favorite lines from conference was "Sharing the gospel is a BLESSING, NOT A BURDEN". I hope we can always remember that. They focused A LOT on missionary work and especially in the stand point of members... LET GET ON TOP OF IT EH?? Find ways at home to share the gospel with ANYONE around you, and I promise you will be happier in life. JUST DO IT.

I love you all. I know this work is REAL, and its GODS.

Forever and Always,

Hey THERE!
CADENS HAIR IS AWESOME :)  ha ha and SOOOOO LONG!!! I didn't really know that it was that long ha ha! That's so crazy! Give Pook a smack on the back and a hug for me!!! I'm SO proud of that dude! When did Caden obtain the nickname Seabear? ha ha it works, but Ive never heard it haha! Oh and if you haven't sent me a package, send me squeeze cheese and club crackers :)

Well this week was pretty awesome! We made this sausage called Chorizo and then we had a small party for our investigators haha! It was super Fun! We had a few come in our area, and its just been super good overall! Working with the members has seemed like the most effective thing I've done on my mission. We will just pass by like every once and a while and help them increase their knowledge on how to help their friends receive the gospel.

I think one of my favorite things in my mission has just been Administering and really teaching people how to become better. Its my FAVORITE thing in the world. I don't know if I told you this (I thought you would like this mom haha, I don't know why but still :) haha) but the Normal week here for us is this:

MONDAY: P Day 10-6
TUESDAY: District Meeting 10:30am (and we go there WAY earlier and take the bus and subway, and we have to study on the bus and stuff,  its pretty fun! ha ha) and
WEDNESDAY: 2 District Meetings 10:30am (they are at the same church, and my comp and I split up and go to both of them and just rotate weekly on who goes where)
THURSDAY: Weekly Planning
FRIDAY: Just a NORMAL day :)
SATURDAY: ESL at 1030am, Ward Coordination at 1
SUNDAY: CHURCH :) :) :) at 1

That is the life for us here in Ossington Zone haha! It's been super fun! I love it and have really enjoyed it. And then we have just random things here and there occasionally like soccer nights, MCC's (working with Stake Presidency), MLCs (Mission Leadership Councils w/ President & Sister Scott, Assistants and other Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders), and whatever else the zone really needs! Its super awesome :)

We are working with a bunch of random people right now! We had a pretty cool experience with a former from the sisters! This guy named Edwin, has been taught since I was here the first time... and he really just stopped progressing because he wouldn't get baptized. He moved into our area and we just were like "Lets teach him!" well.. he text us and told us to meet him at the church, and we just started going at it! Now, I'll tell you... there are a lot of times where I have just been teaching and I feel decent with Spanish... but when you can feel the Lord helping you, its like its your mother tongue! ITS CRAZY. You don't know what to think ha ha. But we got to the point where we just went to the font and just talked about it, and told him to picture himself in the font, and what it would mean for him to be completely cleansed of his sins... and promised him that if he prayed right there on the spot to receive an answer that he NEEDED to be baptized, that he would receive one.. and he prayed SO simply.. nothing too intense... and we just sat there... for about 2 minutes in silence... and my companion asked him "how do you feel?" and he said... "I have to be baptized.." It was pretty powerful for us, and we read Mosiah 26:18 with him.. I suggest you read it and the rest of that chapter.. I love being a missionary. We literally have the greatest opportunity in the world to influence people to become INCREDIBLE through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it changes people, I know God lives. I have never been so happy in my entire life :)

Let me know if there is anything that I can do for any of you! Paz y Amor! TU PRIMO FAVORITO Elder B Beyer!"

I love you all! Don't do anything stupid, and just live the Gospel for crying out loud.. Its a guide line to happiness, I promise you.

Forever and Always,

Elder B Beyer

Monday, September 23, 2013 "So Grateful!"

HEYYY!!!!

Those are some pretty awesome pictures I'm not gonna lie! haha that's so crazy that Jason and Jessica have kids now and that Kendall came home haha! SOOO WEIRDD!!!

I would love to hear about some of the people you are teaching right now.

Right now we are teaching this lady named K., Shes from Chile. Shes awesome! WE have been really trying to help her to gain a testimony about the Book of Mormon. The coolest thing is that with her the only way we have gotten across to her is through testimony. Its been a "testimony builder" (get it? haha) that testimonies are pretty important to share in all of this!
We are also teaching a guy named G. who was a professional soccer player in Colombia!
We have a few potentials on their way too :) from members!

How many lessons do you get to teach a week?

We average like 6 to 7? sometimes more, sometimes less. Different than English work for sure

Do you get to interact with the ward a lot?
Yep. All the time. Right now we are really trying to work with them and to get the member work going we are thinking that in a few weeks or so we should be finding TONS of new investigators! We have had like 2 members come up and say they want us to teach their friends, its been pretty neat!

That's basically Toronto! We are STAYING, both of us!! One of the Assistants called last night and was like "E Prochnow, you're staying and your new companion is... E Beyer.... haha" We thought we were leaving and were TICKED haha. But now all its well!
We also made this food called Chorizo, its a Brazilian Sausage, and we made it for another ward party for next Saturday! We are really hoping that it turns out well. I'm really happy to be staying and really happy to be in this area! This is transfer 5 here :) hahah YEAHHH BUDDDYYY!! Its been SO good!

The past little while I have been really reflecting on my mission, and the past little while.. and I have been reading my journal and seeing the growth and just the change overall.. I just want to say that I am SO grateful that I came on a mission. Its so awesome. My favorite thing is just helping others out and having them understand that this message is true! BECAUSE IT IS!!! :)

I love you. Sorry my letters stinks
.. I really have NO IDEA what to say in them.

Monday, September 16, 2013 "ETTE"

HEY HEY!!
What types of activities do you do on p-day? Basketball, chair soccer, go to downtown, eat.. really nothing too crazy!!
How is the language going? SO good, I feel really good. I just want to express myself better, and have a bigger vocab
In your ward do you interpret? No, pure Spanish
Tell me more about your companion. HE'S AWESOME
Do you get along great with him? yes we do really WELL, except when I'm lame and bug him
What are his likes? Football and sports :) and acting like my little brother
What was your greatest moment this week? Probably... when we were able to help some of the members do missionary work and really focus on the missionary mindset! it was great!
CHASE AND JESSICA HAD A BABY???!!!
"We are going to write 5 things each day of what we are thankful for as a family" Do you want to know something funny?? ha ha this is a goal that I have and have been really working on for the past week now! It makes you really grateful for what you have and its just WAY great to have!

Well... like everything else in Toronto this is a quick email ha ha! Mom when were my grandparents baptized?? At what age? Who were the pioneer for our families??

Things are going really well! We had so much fun this last week, just really working hard and it went really quick because we went on 2 exchanges with other missionaries! It was so fun! One of the missionaries is named Elder Binford and I  have been serving near him for probably like 5 months now! Its been super great! It was a fun and fast week of training missionaries, getting Districts excited and just really doing the work of the Lord! We ended up in some GHETTO area haha so bad that we got the impression to skidaddle hahahah! soooo nuts! buts its been super fun!

Honestly... My favorite thing about my mission is just teaching people the restoration and promising them blessings about all of that... and when they act on those promises and they come true. I know that we are in the work of the LORD and its been SO fun! its probably the funnest thing I've ever done and I'm just... HAPPY... I have really no complaints right now... :) ETTE (Endure to the End)
Work hard. Be happy. This life is incredible :) don't waste it worrying :)

Loves forever and always,

Monday, September 9, 2013 "I'm SO good"

HEY THERE!!!

How is everything??? I LOVED the letter! It sounds like you are all doing SO good, and I'm SO glad to hear that :) things out here are going really well! I'm honestly loving it Right now! We are working SUPER hard and just trying new means of finding the prepared! We have been passing by members and just helping them get STOKED about missionary work and also to just really really think about some people that they know who need the gospel and can think of them through questions such as "Who has recently lost a loved one?" or "recently moved in?" etc... and its going REALLY well! the members are getting excited and they are really loving it! its been SO fun!
This last week we got to go down to a Zone Conference with 2 other zones, and just listen to President and Sister Scott instruct and The Assistants! It was really fun! The biggest message was to get the members on the same page as us, as well as making sure that we push ourselves to truly be better everyday! President Scott said that the biggest way of having success and the thing that has helped him the most in life is this "to be better tomorrow than you are today" and he said "if you do that, by the time you reach 70 you'll be a pretty good person!". He really is an awesome guy, I have learned SO much under his council, and have really been applying his teachings into my life! I love it!
Honestly.. I NEVER know what to say... ha ha... Well this week I did... Missionary work?? ha ha its been fun just talking to TONS of people and working to the end! Enduring to the End is KEY with everything!
My companion and I are really growing and learning great elements of life together, its been really great! I have learned so much recently of what my purpose is and why i need to work hard.. its been really fun to serve with him! We have been finding new investigators and its been super fun!
I think one of the best concepts in life is to be yourself. The Lord made you the way you are for a reason, and you really can get across to people much faster if you are yourself, being a leader that is one of the biggest things i think i have learned.. If I am Elder Beyer, they are going to respect Elder Beyer's opinion, not just some written piece of advice... if that makes sense? I love it! Just be yourself, and just see what happens from there! Its the BOMB :)
Let me know if there is anything I can do for you guys.. and ask questions if you want my letters to be better ha ha.. I feel like I never know what to say to you ha ha! I love you all.

HEY!!!

I LOVED those pictures!! I honestly have wanted to write Taylor SO badly but I don't have his address or email :(( those were AWESOME pictures though! I really loved them! It was really good to see all those things!

Honestly I really don't have too much time to write you all right now.. but I will try and get things happening with the fingers. ha ha

This week has been great, I

have really had some good experiences to grow and just make things a lot better!

The missionaries in our ward got to organize a big old party together for the whole ward and everyone came and there were TONS of people! it was SO fun ha ha! We had like big speaker, tons of food and just TONS of random stuff haha! I LOVED it. I'm so Spanish at heart!

We got to get the zone together and have a Zone training meeting, and it went really well! We have just really been focusing on GROWTH and we set a goal as a zone to baptize 11 people in the month of September! its been really great to just feel the unity, focus and love in the Zone and that is seriously the biggest thing that we are focusing on there. Its been really GREAT!

I love my mission. I had the opportunity to reflect back on it the other day and i was really grateful.. I thought of my 2 favorite songs "Redeemer of Israel" and "Called to Serve" and just thought about the mission i have served... I am SO grateful for my mission. I love it so much and it means the WORLD to me.
I'm really sorry that this is so short, but in the city we really don't have that much time to write emails ha ha... but just know that I know that the Lord lives, I really do know that. And I am so grateful for the mission I have been on.

HELLOOOOO!!!

Wowww.. I'm SO glad that everything worked out with Blair! That is SO awesome! Tell them congrats for me and that I wish them the best. That is really great! Caden is great ha ha those pictures are nuts!

Everything is going really great. We had some great experiences these last couple of weeks! The coolest thing that I wanted to share is just that a few times over the course of 3 weeks I really have felt the Saviors love and appreciation for what we do as missionaries. I really do know that He loves us and if we work hard, no matter what He is pleased. When I left Barrie, I felt His love and His gratitude. When we helped some people in our zone, I felt it as well. I know that the Lord is SO happy with what we have done and that is hands down the thing that makes being a missionary worth it.

I know that the Priesthood is real. I have experienced the power of it and have seen lives change and really have come to know that we are beyond blessed for having it in our lives. We have been really lucky to be able to grow from experiences to exercise our priesthood.

I want to add a part into this letter from President Scott's this last week... It really is a great one and helped me realize a few things about life.
"I heard a story recently that some of you are probably familiar with. It illustrates the value of the time we are given each day. I will reference part of it below. It says, “Imagine that each morning your bank would deposit $86,400 in your private account for your use. However, this gift has rules, just as any game has certain rules. Rule 1) Everything that you don’t spend during each day will be taken away from you. You may not simply transfer money into some other account. You may only spend it. Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400 for that day. Rule 2) The bank can end the game without warning; at any time it can say, the game is over! It can close the account and you will not receive a new one. Ask yourself what you would do with this wonderful gift. Would you buy anything and everything you wanted? Would you buy things for your friends and family? Would you even buy things for people you don’t know? The options may vary but you would undoubtedly try and spend every cent every day because otherwise it would be gone forever. In reality we do receive a similar gift each morning. We can’t see it like the money in our bank account but it is very valuable and precious. It is our time. Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift of life, and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time is not credited to us. It is forever lost.  So, what will you do with your 86,400 seconds?” "
LIVE LIFE TO ITS POTENTIAL!!! ITS GREAT :) :) :)

The City has been great as usual. I'm really really happy to be back. We have been playing like a game, that you have to speak with 2 people EVERY bus, subway and train that we take... MAN its challenging sometimes but its SO fun ha ha. Its made it a good way of measuring that we are working hard, rather than just going through the motions!

Sorry this letter is short, nothing too crazy, but I really don't have much to say other than that I LOVE being a missionary and am so grateful for the chances Ive had to see the Lords hand in my life. I love the Savior and know He is real, and feel true sorrow for the people who don't have Him in their lives, because His love is real. I know it. I have felt it, and hope that ALL people can feel it as well.

Have a good week! Be happy and positive! its worth it :)

Monday, August 19, 2013 "Exhausted!"

HEY HEY HEY!!!

Carsen really does look way tiny!! ha ha COACH! Tell him hi and that I
love him! He's a great guy! ha ha and whats funny is that, I ALWAYS have been
saying Start Fast Finish Strong and that's been a motto Ive been using for
the time being! Ironic. haha.

The city is GREAT ha ha it hasn't changed a BIT! The apartment is the same,
the church and the ward is the same. The zone has changed A LOT! There are
so many different people and stuff, but its SOOOO GOODD still! I love it!
The rush is intense, and I come home every single night EXHAUSTED haha! its
pretty ridiculous at times but I really really love it that's for sure! One
thing that has been really good is just being with a really really chill
comp again! This guys like my twin ha ha he's so similar to Cade miller its
not even funny!!!

Honestly I'm out of time to email ha ha I will try my best to get some more
stuff in, but I just want you to know that a testimony comes from God and
not from knowledge.. There are many people in the world who try to PROVE
that God is there or try to PROVE that the Book of Mormon is true from
facts.. but really when it comes down to it the way to do so is by praying
and asking God for that revelation. I know it. I was having a really hard
time in English work because I got caught in the habit of showing where it
the bible it proved this and that... but now I really do know that it is
all from Him above. I challenge all of you just to simply pray and ask for
strength and guidance.. not try to PROVE how it'll come or what not... but
just to see how a relationship with Him will do that. :)

forever and Always,

Elder B Beyer :) :)

Monday, August 12, 2012 "Back to Toronto"

HEYEYEYEY!! :) :) :) :)
How are you all doing?? ERRY TING IRY? (Jamaican Slang) hhaa! So I've got some transfer news for you.. I'M GOING BACK TO TORONTO hahaha!!! To the exact area that I was at before! I'm STOKED! hahah I'm going to be with a guy from Morgan UT, named E Prochnow haha he was trained by E Steele too! Its going to be really fun! I have been using the exercise ball haha I got one last week, but yeah its been really great! I have been DYING ha ha my core is weak as weak gets haha! But I'm excited to get that rolling haha! Oh funny story actually! haha so we have been going into the Physio lately because of my back, and during it the people have been asking us about what we do... well... as I have been getting everything done with me we have just been teaching the people haha, and all 3 of them so far have gotten Mormon.org cards and we are going to be following up with them tonight haha! How funny is that? Its really laid back, not like normal teaching, but its just sharing the things we do and saying that we know they are true! Its great stuff!
We have been teaching quite a bit lately.. we range from about 10 to 15 lessons, on a good week! Its been good.
We have been working HARD CORE with this family from Portugal. They are AWESOME! They are Catholic, like most people are, and they really just have been the greatest people ever! We have been teaching them for about 3 weeks now and they came to church this last week for the first time :) its was SO awesome! Its a father, mother, son and daughter and they really are just SUPER great! We have actually eaten at their house once and go like 2 or 3 times a week to teach them! Its been super great, I think finding and teaching families is the greatest part about missionary work HANDS DOWN!
Zone Training Meeting was a great experience this last week.. We did the normal thing and it was like 2 1/2 hours, and things went really well. And then at the end we did something a little different! It might seem really cheesy, cause it kind of seems that way, But it was really really SPIRITUAL. We went into the gym where the font is, and we had it full. and that was like the only light in the gym on, so it was just SUPER bright. and we just were trying to reflect on our missions. We read our missionary commission and we just talked about our desires, and then had a musical number "When I am Baptized" and then just had a few testimonies.. it was one of the most spiritual experiences of my mission. The zone has really really been doing well from all of it and it seems that the missionaries are just PUMPED to baptize! I LOVE IT.
I am really grateful for the gospel. I really am. I know its true, and it helps us to become the people we could never become without it. I love it so much.
I hope that you all have a WONDERFUL week and that things are just going great!
Forever and Always,
Elder B. Beyer :)
