Monday, January 27, 2014 "Final Transfer!"

HOLY COW!!! I can not believe that at all. Man, I LOVE Caden and Hayden. They just look like they should be best friends haha. That is really so weird for me to see everyone just like normal but this time they look more mature and changed. Its really cool to see that.
Did you get to work with Spanish investigators this week?
Yes I did, it was really weird. There was a few times where I forgot how to say somethings and forgot how to teach in Spanish haha. It was really weird to me. But it went really well I really enjoyed that tender mercy. haha I don't know if the old grammar is as perfect as Lando says haha but its coming along for sure.

Any leadership meetings?
Not this week, we will this week though. I'm really excited.
What was the funniest thing that happened this week?
Hmm... I don't know. Great question haha. I don't know... I know that we are constantly laughing and having a good time but I really can't think of anything that stands out right now.

How do you like your ward?

Great ward. We have a lot of really great people in it and they have been really helpful in supporting and feeding us. Its been hard to lose weight because they feed us so much haha
Have you gotten pretty close to your bishop?
Yeah he is the man. He has been out of town for a little while but he is really great and wants to do the work of the Lord.
How is Issac progressing?
Great but really slowly. Its a process for sure, but its awesome. It takes everyone their own time to be able to do stuff right? Its going really well though.
So with your other question. I'M STAYING HERE. I'm excited! I'm with E Bramwell again! I just realized something really crazy haha, that I served in Spanish work for 12 and 4 in English.. and half the time I served in Spanish was in Toronto haha. Pretty Long time if you think about it like that, I think that is maybe why I love it so much!

We have been really pounding the pavement like crazy. We are trying to switch some things up for this next transfer to be able to work Hard and Smart at the same time! Its going to be a lot of fun. We have had quite the amount of changes in the Zone and are hoping to see some real miracles coming up from that! I'm really excited!

I don't have a whole lot to say! Its been busy busy busy that's about it! We are just working hard and will hopefully see some great things soon! I love you all so much. I love this gospel its so true and I really love being a missionary! The Canada Toronto Mission is the best one ever!

Monday, January 20, 2014 "Next Door Neighbors to Detroit"

AH! I cant believe they said YES ha ha. That's pretty crazy! Yeah that Elder is Carsen's new companion. I cant believe that about Riker! That is SO cool! Tell him I love him and that I'm SO excited for him! He is the man. That's really so great to hear about that!
Ha ha yeah there are tons of videos on there. I have tried to get a lot so that I will be able to remember lots more than just a picture! but yeah so they stayed in the same room as us when we were all there. SO it was 4 missionaries in the bed room and their study room was where the weight room was. It was SO crowded. I have lots of pictures on this card I think. Its super funny!
Detroit!
What is the funniest thing that happened this week?
Well, I went on an exchange this week with the Elder from Farmington Elder Cowley ha ha... and we went out tracting on a "First Nation Reserve" aka Native American Indians ha ha.. Well it was pretty intense. They are super spread out houses and some are like log cabins. Well we went out and were tracting and trying to get in and out there, there is like no rules basically. Its their land and whatever they want to do they basically can.. So all the dogs out there are not on leashes and they roam around wherever. So this one wolf looking one goes up and pees on our car first off, and we go and see some little tiny baby puppies and were like AWW so cute! So E Cowley whips out his camera to take a picture.. well as he did the momma dog FLIPS and starts charging us.. Well in the mean time we are backing up and standing our ground at the same time, and then out of the corner of our eyes this white wolf thing that's tattered up with bloody wounds comes into the picture and was surrounding us. Then the first one that peed on the car was behind us and was DEATH calling some more dogs/wolves to help KILL us.. during this whole time I was like DON'T RUN, STAY CALM, TAKE OFF YOUR BACKPACK AND IF THEY CHARGE CLOCK ITS NOGGIN.. hahaha I thought
we were going to die.. ha ha but we got out safe and what not. We were laughing so hard!

What have you and Elder Bramwell done for fun on P-Days?
Nothing really.. there is not too much to do in London. We play sports, get food with other missionaries, umm... nothing too intense haha.

How are you liking the Subaru?
Oh LOVE it. Its so fun, its a pretty quick small little car. Its the newest car I've ever driven in my life. when we first got it, it had like 20 miles on it haha pretty cool stuff!

Do you get to teach Spanish since being in London?
I have contacted lots of Spanish people since being here yes, but I have not taught a single soul yet. I'm going on an exchange with our Spanish district leader though and we are going to :) I'm excited!

Did you have any leadership meetings this week?
Nope, not this week! But we will in like 2 more.

The hands down best part about this week was going on a 2 hour both ways trip to Windsor! aka... NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS TO DETROIT!!!!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!! :) :) I love it so much! I think the initial reaction of Elder Bramwell and I both was just SCREAMING and saying AMERICA!! ha ha I couldn't stop talking about it, I was like "I cant believe we are so close to the holy land" or "Man I love America" hahaha. It was great stuff! I will send some great pictures of that this week no worries.

I'm super happy about Carsen. He is a BOSS. I really know that he is one of the best missionaries that I have come in contact with. I think he is the man.

I had the opportunity to do 2 baptismal interviews this week, it was incredible. I love doing that. I think overall that is my favorite responsibility I have right now. Its really remarkable being able to sit down with someone who has been through it all, and to see where they came from and where they are at right now! Its my favorite thing ever. I think the best part about it all is hearing them share their testimony with me and say that they know God is their Father, Jesus is His Son and that the Church and Gospel of Jesus Christ have been restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. Its a testimony builder of mine to see humble seekers of truth find it.

I know this is the Truth. Read your scrips and pray and you'll be happy! I promise! I love you all. I hope that you are happy and are constantly trying to help others find or return to the pathway of God.

Forever and Always,

Monday, January 13, 2014 "Time is Flying"

Those are CRAZY pictures ha ha! I was in aw when I saw all of them!

How is your zone doing?
Super GOOD right now we are still on the upward climb right now and there are some really good things happening here! We are really working hard and the zone is doing the same thing. The District Leaders are really helping us out to make everyone stay on the same page with everything as well.
Are they catching the vision of working hard?
Absolutely. They are doing incredibly.
Did you know Carsen's new companion that came from the Toronto Stake?
Yeah what's funny is, he is a recent convert.. and I don't know if he did for sure, but I think Elder Rogers my previous companion in Barrie was there for his baptism.. I'm not sure though. But E Bramwell went teaching all the time with Jamari, and I was there for his farewell because it was at Stake Conference. I tried to go and talk to him but he was swarmed with people haha. Pretty cool eh? Small world when you're Mormon!
What is the funniest thing that happened this week?
Hmm.. Well we tracted a door and this Polish lady answered and then her Indian (From India) Husband came over and they started talking to each other "Behind our backs" in Chinese and Elder Bramwell started talking to them haha. It was pretty weird. More like "What the Heck?" kind of moment but still really funny.
What is the most spiritual thing that happened this week?
We have been teaching a lot of people and they are really understanding the Gospel. One is a kid named Isaac and he is doing great. He wants to go to BYU and is working with us to understand more about what we believe as Mormons. Its just really fun to look at someone and promise them that there is something better if they ACT. I think that is the biggest thing that was incredible, promising him that living the Word of Wisdom will bless him so much.

Thanks for sending me some questions to answer, it makes it so much easier to write letters that way haha. I honestly never know what to say when we sit down for emails anymore haha. I really don't. The week has been great and I know that some miracles are about to occur here in London!

This last week we had a really great meeting with the entire zone. We met together and got everyone rallied around the idea of being more unified and really doing our best every single day. It was cool because going in, we had some good amounts of unity in the zone, but leaving it we were like "Team London". It was great because we had the District Leaders get up there and discuss some important things that could really benefit us as individuals as well as companionship's.

We are really starting to see the momentum switch and really start to be something incredible. I think my favorite thing about it all is when we are up there instructing there is just a HUGE amount of missionaries sitting up there and we have them all working towards the cause of becoming better. Its great.

Well the time is FLYING. I really cant believe how fast it goes sometimes and just cant believe that we have been as fortunate as we have been lately to see the blessings in our lives. The Lord is really hastening His work and I know that all of have the blessing of being a part of it! I love you all so much!

Forever and Always,

Monday, January 6, 2014 "Move the Needle"

HEY THERE!!!!

Mom, something really funny is that I memorized that scripture already and I recite it to myself lots. I love that scripture. Its the best one to share with people going through a hard time. I love it.(John 14:27)

Man, I laughed SO hard about that story of Caden at Pepper Bellys hahah, I thought it was so funny!

How were your leadership meetings this week?
It was really good. We stayed the night at the Kitchener Zone Leaders apt, so E Prochnow and E Parker. haha it was really fun! But the whole meeting went great, we got some really good insight on how we will be able to improve the zone a little more and it seems that everything will be very applicable to what we have planned up to now.

Have you gotten any new investigators?
We have found a few new this week yes. The way we do is mainly through tracting. I love it so much. Its so fun.

How is the garbage in the living room and you taking a few things each day?
That night we walked into the house and threw it all away haha. Its been out since Christmas. Its really great now though, the Spirit can be felt :)

What do you think of your ward?
I love it, the Bishop and Bishopric are incredible. They have a HUGE missionary focus and they are working on making it happen now. I really enjoy the ward. They feed us like crazy so no real complaints there either. We are having a really great time. This week E Bramwell and I got up and bore our testimonies to introduce ourselves a little more, and it really turned out great. We are loving it thus far.

How big is the ward?
like 130 active members on average are there.

Its been a great week to be a missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission. No complaints on my behalf. I really have been loving it. We are working hard, really trying to focus on what is going on and our whole theme right now is to "Move the Needle". My comp and I have come in and are really trying to just make sure that things occur and that only comes if you are on top of it. We have been fortunate enough to see some great things happen as the missionaries rally around a common objective to be able to really help others come unto Christ. Our zone has the goal of baptizing 10 people in the month of January and this week has proved to be a great one as we have started strong with 3 yesterday. I can not wait to see what is in store for the London Zone.

In our area we are working with lots of really great people. Some aren't as... willing as others, but overall they are incredible people who essentially could be members of the church. I think my favorite part about English work is that reason right there... that anyone you teach is a potential person that you can teach and bring into the Gospel. Its really exciting. But there is one named Isaac who is really incredible. He came to us and wanted to give us summaries of what he has previously read in the Book of Mormon just so he could make sure he was really getting everything out of it. He was so detailed as he explained Nephi's story and said "Did I miss anything?" It was so funny and incredible. I know there are prepared people out there who are waiting to hear the message of the gospel.

This week E Bramwell and I went tracting on a street.. now this street immediately was my favorite one yet, solely based on its name.. "BROCK STREET" haha. It was very funny because the parallel street to it just happened to be "STEPHEN STREET"... It made me truly feel like I was sent here for a reason hahah. but it was funny and great, so the first house we knocked just happened to be this happy guy who let us in from the cold and was more than willing to have a conversation about Christ with him. Now this story is not going to go in the way that you think.. But he ended up being a Pastor from a church and knew his Bible to the T... Now.. the reason i tell this story is because we went back and forth discussing different insights from the Bible and different views that other religions and Christians have towards this one book.. this man had studied and been a pastor for over 15 years while my companion and I both had never picked up nor read really in depth the bible until about 2 years ago haha.. and even then not that much.. but I knew as we conversed and stayed up to pace with him that he knew that we knew that what we shared was true. I love opportunities like that to really "Put My Faith On the Line" and see what comes out of it. Over the time that I have served I have come to really know that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ and that this is Their Church on the earth. I witness that with all of my heart and know that what we do now really does effect our future. I'm all about the Karma gig, and know that we get what we go for. Before leaving there, the man accepted a Book of Mormon and said that he'd give it a shot. To really read and try to come to know of the truth.

I love you and hope that you are well with life. If there is anything I can do for you, just let me know!

Much love forever and always,

Elder B. Beyer
